Gary Avery

Join the Air Force out of high school, served an LDS mission, Attended College, UW, BYU and Wis. State. Graduated from Wis. Married in 1968, Divorced in 1978. Married Carol in 1987.

I own my own insurance agency, which allows me great freedom. I will never retire, as I like doing what I do.

Carol and I served another mission for the LDS Church going to South Korea. We just returned in 2009.

I love to travel and even though I love flying I enjoy driving vacations the best. That is as long as part of that vacation includes getting aboard a cruise ship. We have been on nine different cruises.

Carol and I love going to Disneyland too. Prior to our mission we went to Disneyland three times. Each time we attended was with a different child or two and their family.

Grandchildren are the greatest joy in life. They are what we missed most while on our mission in Korea.

No great school story. Well maybe there was one where Roy Anderson and I skipped school for a week our Senor year. They told us that if we didn't bring money for our lockers (I think that was for the locks.) we couldn't come to school until we did. So we didn't bring our money and spent the week doing something else. When we came back to school nothing happened to him, but I got a week in detention. Not fair!!
