Earl was a good guy. We were friends, especially in jr. high. We went to his parents cabin on Camano Island which was a treat for me because we did not get to do those kind of things at that time. We were 8th graders and some boys were picking on Earl so I, in my willie wisdom,  decided that Earl needed to learn how to fight. So we went down to Pop Keeney Field and I will tell you: Earl couldn't get the hang of it. To this day I laugh about it; he was such a sweet guy. Bless him. Wilson Estes
